I am an Assistant Professor in the AI.Health4All Center and the Department of Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in AI and Analytics at Smith School of Business at Queen's University, Canada and a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at ITMO University, Russia.
In the past, I worked as an Assistant Professor and Vice Dean of the College of Informatics at the University of Gondar in Gondar, my hometown in Ethiopia and as a Research Engineer at ITMO University in Saint Peterburg, Russia.
